Here is my novice/technician station from December 1977.  My first Drake radio is shown mounted under the cabinet was a TR-72.   That was a crystal controlled 2m FM rig made for Drake by Trio (Kenwood today).  Wish I still had this stuff !  Next Drake was a TR-6, very early model - REALLY wish I still had that one !!  I even wish I had a picture !   73, Dave
