  The Kenwood TH-79 can Rx From 67 - 179.995 MHZ  - 400 - 511.995
                        Tx From 136 - 179.995 Mhz - 400 - 511.995

  Take the Rig apart by removing the three screws on the back
  remove the antenna.. Remove the screw for the side under the
  Speaker/Mic/Power jacks rubber cover..
  Remove the CTCSS access cover
  Squeeze the bottom side panel where the battery inserts to release
  the locking hooks..
  Separate the two halfs of the radio
  Locate and remove Diodes D304 & D307 ( Located on back of front
  panel)..

  Reassemble the radio and reset the microprocessor .. Thats it..
