Subject:    TH-28A  Extended Range

1.  Remove the four screws on the back of the radio. You do not need to remove
    the belt clip. Gently remove the back panel. The radio (HT) comes apart
into two peices. Another-words the back panel isn't just a panel, it has most
of the radio with it.

2.   Locate the brass shield on the inside of the fron part of the radio.
     Remove the two screws holding it in place. (save them! <g> )
Unsolder the brass plate (I believe this is only required if you need a lot of
room to solder.

3.   Locate diodes D8-D15 (refer to schematics).  REMOVE DIODES D8, D10 and D15
     SAVE THEM !  You will need them!

4.   Replace with Diodes D11 and D14.

THIS IS ALL SURFACE MOUNT BE CAREFULL!!!
