Remove the bottom cover of the transcevier by removing the 4 screws on the bottom of the cover and loosening the 4 screws on the sides of the unit. 3. Orient the radio so the bottom is up and the front panel area is near your chest. Near the front panel area you will find a large board, this is the Control Unit X53-346X-XX A/2. There are two rows of chip resistors with only eight resistors mounted, out of sixteen. The X=resistor and the - will equal a blank spot. The first is before and second equals after!! - - - - X X X X = before - - - X X X - - = after X X X X - - - - X X X - - - X X you are removing three chip resistors and replacing in new positions This chip resistor might have the 473 on them, they are very small and they do represent 0 ohms value. Short wire will work also. The c Micro chips. 4. Remove the chip resistors as noted and reinstall them as shown. 5. Reinstall the bottom cover of the transceiver and reattach the front panel. 6. Reset the microprocessor. Press and hold the MR key whilR key. This will erase all operation programmed data!!! 7.
