Bulletin: SA0120 Subject: TS-440 AND PK-232 Problem is low audio from TNC (170mv max). Assuming you use port 2 of the TNC for the 440, clip one side of R152 in the TNC to remove it from the circuit. Do this carefully and clip only one side so you can tack it back in in the future if need be. Short out R160 by removing and replacing with a jumper, or by soldering a tiny piece of wire in parallel across it. Under the circuit board find the ungrounded side of R151. Break the trace between that node and the "TX AUDIO" pin on TNC radio port 1. Solder a resistor of the same value as R160 across the break. The 440 needs 500mv of audio while the unmodified TNC supplies 170mv. This mod leaves port 1 at 170 and makes port 2 capable of about 1000 mv max.
