Subject:    FT-23 noisy PTT-sw fix

Many users of the Yaesu FT-23 HT report noisy TX audio while using
the radio. This is often caused by a dirty PTT switch. Replacement
switches may be obtained from Mouser Electronics (P/N 101-0013)
for only 30 Cents each! To replace the switch requires great care
and experience working around surface mount electronics, so if your
not experienced working with sub-mini type electronics, do not attempt
to repair the rig yourself, let a pro do it. You have to dissassemble
50% of the radio to get at the switch, but the fix and elimination
of static is worth it. (Mouser is at 1-800-346-6873. You'll also get
