Extending range from 118MHZ to 173.995

Extending the receive range is accomplished by cutting the green jumper
wire located on the main unit near the main speaker plug. This will extend
the receive range from 118-173.995 MHz.


Extending range from 800MHZ to 999MHZ

To receive the 800-999MHz band, Connect a cable to the two pads near pin 1
of U9 on the main unit. These  pins were never soldered to before. This will
be the antenna connection. To tune the band, put the 440 MHz section into the
VFO mode. Now depress the "MHZ" button for one second and it will switch to
the 800 MHz range.
