Title:   Extended Transmit Range


 1.- Remove the top cover per page 23 of the owners manual.
 2.- Find the brown wire on the display panel. Cut it.
 3.- Reconnect the power to radio. Power switch on, set the VFO to 12.3456 MHz.
Turn off power switch, then back on again. This resets the microprocessor and
enables general coverage transmit.
 4.- Replace cover and mod is complete!
